What is the most important characteristic of a good boss, and why?

A good boss is a dead boss. (it is a joke

)

I think a boss is good if he (she) values you and your work.

Marina, did you mean that boss is dead if he is good and kind to his employees?

I mean alive boss can't be kind and good.
Aren't you agree? May be you are boss?

A boss is really good if you are the boss.

But seriosly the most valuable characteristic for me is objectivity.
Then everything depends on you.
